UPPER HEATER:

• 2000 watt high efficiency (patented) with PID control
• Integrated cool air bypass reduces package temperature and controls joint

+/-1% repeatability , .1% full scale).
• Calibration controls for temperature and flow rate at multiple set points.
• Thermocouple-based stabilization takes in to account the thermal mass of
the heating system to refine heat output to component.

BOTTOM HEATER:

• Radiant IR panel bottom heater (high thermal uniformity), based on black
ceramic high emissivity coating, dramatically increasing radiant energy.
• Preheat of board is temperature-based via IR temperature sensor of
thermocouple
• Integrated automatic pcb and machine cooldown system; insures operator
safety handling pcb, brings system back to initial conditions for process
repeatability and aids in controlling joint time over reflow.
• Integrated pop-up pcb supports, pcb expansion control, and flexible

Closed-Loop Automation
Promotes Simple, Fast, Non-Operator Dependent Process Control
• Force placement control: load cell indicates actual (real-time) and target
setting (20-2000 grams).
• Programmed z and vision axis: component placement, pickup, flux/solder

• Motorized joystick theta and z axis control for quick and easy component
alignment
• Vacuum sensor control: activates automatic component removal
(eliminating solder squeeze out) and to monitor/maintain non-contact

Non-contact vacuum removal
• Vacuum sensor automatically and continually adjusts tip height and
compensates for variable residue solder volume.

Eliminates damage to pads and solder mask caused by contact-based

without interference of densely populated assemblies.
