Repeatable Thermal Performance
Closed-Loop Temperature + Flow Rate = Total Closed-Loop Heating

UPPER HEATER:
• 2000 watt high efficiency (patented) with PID control
• Integrated cool air bypass reduces package temperature and controls joint time
over reflow.
• Mass flow controller regulates precise heat flow (accuracy and linearity +/-1%
repeatability , .1% full scale).
• Calibration controls for temperature and flow rate at multiple set points.
• Thermocouple-based stabilization takes in to account the thermal mass of the
heating system to refine heat output to component.


BOTTOM HEATER:
• Radiant IR panel bottom heater (high thermal uniformity), based on black ceramic
high emissivity coating, dramatically increasing radiant energy.
• Preheat of board is temperature-based via IR temperature sensor of thermocouple
• Integrated automatic pcb and machine cooldown system; insures operator safety
handling pcb, brings system back to initial conditions for process repeatability and
aids in controlling joint time over reflow.
• Integrated pop-up pcb supports, pcb expansion control, and flexible position pcb
edge supports

Provides Enhanced, Accurate, Quick & Easy Viewing
• Field of view: 70mm; 125mm (optional)
• Nine (9) position viewing; four (4) corners, four (4) sides, and center
• High magnification is programmable or operator adjustable to enhance placement
accuracy and to minimize operator interpretation. Motorized joystick control for quick
and easy adjustment.
• Independent intensity for component (green) and board (white) to provide clear, fast,

Closed-Loop Automation
Promotes Simple, Fast, Non-Operator Dependent Process Control
• Force placement control: the load cell indicates actual (real-time) and target
setting (20-2000 grams).
• Programmed z and vision axis: component placement, pickup, flux/solder dipping
and drop off.
• Motorized joystick theta and z axis control for quick and easy component alignment
• Vacuum sensor control: activates automatic component removal (eliminating solder
squeeze out) and to monitor/maintain non-contact tip height for site cleaning.
• Temperature-based preheat: regardless of machine or board conditions, the non-
contact IR sensor triggers when preheat setting is reached and monitors throughout
the process.
• Modular software enables rapid implementation of complex motion, vision and

Non-contact vacuum removal
• Vacuum sensor automatically and continually adjusts tip height and compensates for
variable residue solder volume.
• Closed-loop hot gas heats pads after component is removed.
• Non-abrasive, composite vacuum tip safely removes residual solder. Eliminates
damage to pads and solder mask caused by contact-based methods.
• Micro components utilize micro contact tips without affecting adjacent dense area.
